Tinderbox Thursday!

Hello! Hope everyone dug the theme collection last week and another great show coming up tonight with live performances, interviews, new albums, and a bit of Irish stuff  in there for old St paddy’s too! Hope you’ll join us.

I had the pleasure of seeing Joanna Newsom perform last night at the Recital Centre- she’s not everyone’s cup of tea but that is one talented and unique lady I’ll tell you!  She had a band gathered who re-imagined some of her earlier material, ‘rocked out’ at points, and did some beautiful harmonies which was great but there’s nothing like seeing her just go for it with voice and harp, amazing.

Check her out here. I also just left thinking what an exhilarating yet exhausting life it must be for professional musicians, what with all the touring and whatnot. All hail! ; )

Speaking of which- we’ll also have a double pass to give away to see two great ladies on Saturday night in Melbourne town, Pikelet and Sophia Brous. Thanks to venue Toff in Town for supporting the Tinderbox!
