Creative Feasts

Hey there,
So much exciting creative stuff is happening at the moment I can hardly keep up! Live on Lydiard has some awesome acts lined up over the next month or so. We’ll be featuring some of the performing artists on the Tinderbox on June 23rd, but before that-
on June 9th we have Earl Leonard live in the box, and
June 16th we have QLD duo Laneway joining us before their gig at Babushka.
There’s also the fabulous Women of Soul event happening every Tuesday through June at the Toff in Town.
& if visual art is your thang, this week we’ll be chatting to Abbie Matthews and the gals from Red Brick Gallery about upcoming exhibitions. More writing and theatre adventures are on the cards too!
We’d love to hear from you: tinderboxradio@gmail.com or Tinderbox Radio on facebook : )
Ballarat music extravaganza
Thanks for tuning in tonight everybody. Was lots of fun and we even got our first two subscribers to the show- a landmark Tinderbox moment! My guest host was Marc Eiden, chatting about the latest ABC Open initiative matching local filmmakers and musicians to create film clips- very cool Mr Cavaleri. Check them out! & We had a visit from two of the fabulous musicians involved Dishpan Fingers and Viv Denham.
We also had Rex Hardware getting us excited about Live on Lydiard where the project will be launched next Friday night, and Jarrod Watt, MC for the night taking us on a trip down memory lane of the Ballarat music scene, including my personal favourite- Grandmaster Flash meets Mick Trembath, gold. Jarrod also got some pics that Marc will put up shortly with his blog so check it out!
We also had a cd sent into us from the lovely Chelsea Wilson promoting the Women of Soul events happening throughout June at Tinderbox supporters Toff in Town- very cool seeing our local ladies get down and we’ll be there for a boogie so come join us!
Catch you next week for tunes and chat, then following week a themed show of animals, insects and mythical creatures…
