Greetings Tinderboxians,
We ran out of time last night to play Going Down Swinging tracks but will get onto it next week. As I said last night- and I’ve gotta say it didn’t roll of the tongue- spring is springing. Strange News From A Distant Star next week with writings and general fun with Lauren back on the musical tidbits, weather etc, woo!
& check out our show coming up on October 2nd here
New timeslot ‘n’ tings
Dream theme will be replaying tonight from 7-9, good tunes for good times…
Join us next week at the new timeslot of 6-8 pm, right after the top 40 for something completely different (ie. no gratuitous vocoders in the Tinderbox!) Just pure exciting, igniting and delighting (some Led Zep, Sly & Funkadelic, Bowie and loving the ladies as usual- Bjork, Nina Simone, Bat For Lashes, Cat Power, Hope Sandoval, Sharon Jones-they’re rockin the casbah)
We’ll be welcoming all our regular listeners alongside new ones so playing all our faves, old and new, near and far, as well as playing you some great tracks from the brand new Going Down Swinging no.30. Then the following week we’ll get back into Strange News from a Distant Star with Voice Fm’s very own Iris reading for us, and other great writers and musicians joining us over the rest of the year. We’ll also be telling you about the creative project we’ve been working on that will be hitting Ballarat the evening of Saturday Oct 2nd so put it in the diary! (weavelength.blogspot.com)
One of the plans, as an extension of the show is to host creative gatherings around town for people to get together and share their creative stuff so stay tuned for those too or let us know if you’d like to help organise (ideas for venues, themes etc).
Enjoy and keep warm!
