Creative News
As discussed on the show last week, huge congratulations to local poet Nathan Curnow for winning the Josephine Ulrick Poetry prize. We’re all so proud of you! Check it out.You can also catch him and lots of other great events this weekend at the Emerging Writers Festival.
A big thanks again to the Ballarat Arts Foundation for supporting our creative segment Strange News From a Distant Star and now’s the time for all those creative souls to come out of the woodwork and get involved! I was particularly inspired by Elissa Roger’s ukelele rendition of the song Smile and Abbie Matthew’s artistic adventures into the Cubist style. I look forward to future creative collaborations.
And thanks to the dapper gentlemen who accompanied me to the awards ceremony! Lauren couldn’t make it sadly but don’t worry- she and her groovey orange flares (c/o Kelly at dear prudence) will be making an appearance very soon!!
